Conceived to exploit the potential of the indigenous Vermentino grape to produce white wines with depth of character, intensity, yet refreshing flavours. The wine has characteristic aromas and lies soft in the mouth.

Straw-yellow in colour, on the nose it is characterised by fragrant hints of blossom with intense varietal aromas of elderflower. Rich, full and rounded in the mouth, with a savoury character, lively acidity, and a long, balanced finish.

The vineyards are 15/20 years old, situated on hillsides with excellent exposure to the sun and main winds, in order to avoid dampness from pooling. When fermentation has been completed the wine is left to mature in steel and subject to the normal stabilisation and filtration processes so that it is ready for bottling by the January after harvesting.

The Chigi Saracini wineries are the result of a successful match between the beautiful observances of the Chianti’s tradition and heritage and also the progress of modern technologies today. Every bottle of wine produced on the Chigi Saracini Estate at Castelnuovo Berardenga tells the historic story of the esteemed noble families who established and developed a property whose origins date back to very ancient times. The coat of arms, which coincides with today’s brand image, combines the emblems of the four families who alternated or joined at the helm of the property through family relationships or as a result of various historical events. It was in the 12th century that these nobles of German origin, who already possessed large domains in the Maremma region, settled in Siena. Today the property is part of the large MPS Tenimenti group.
