Style:

Strong, straw coloured. A beautifully structured wine with powerful flavours.

Food Match: A stunning wine, wonderful served with complex flavored fish or chicken dishes that are enhanced with garlic or fruit.

The Añadas Frías Rioja is an intense straw-colour.  On the nose it is fresh, elegant and rich with nuances: fruity aroma base with balsamic and ripe fruit notes blending  with creamy and elegant smoked hints. On the palate this full-bodied wine is well-structured with good acidity and powerful flavours, unctuous and fresh.

Temperature of Consumption: 6º C (42,8º F).

VINIFICATION AND AGEING: Vinification took place in 225 lts. French oak barrels with an ageing process of 12 months in French oak barrels. Añadas Frías is a special Rioja Crianza wine only made in cold vintages, when  acidity and pH conditions are just right to support a long life in the bottle.

Bodegas y Viñedos Pujanza is a small familiar winery that started in 1998. Carlos San  Pedro, owner and technical director of the winery, is the fourth generation of a  family with a great viticulture tradition. Bodegas y Viñedos Pujanza is his personal project, an idea he had since his childhood and today, thirteen years after the  beginning, it has become a reality.

The winery follows strict guidelines to make their high quality wines,  choosing specific vineyards for each wine and a limited production.  Bodegas y Viñedos Pujanza is located in Laguardia, in the heart of D.O.Ca. Rioja  Alavesa, one of the most beautiful villages of Spain, with a great culture and historic  heritage.

Features D.O.Ca. Rioja:

– La D.O.Ca. Rioja is located between two mountains, la Sierra de Cantabria in the north and  Sierra de la Demanda in the south. Sierra de Cantabria works like a natural boundary and meteorological barrier, creating ideal conditions to the vineyards.
– The climatic influences are Atlantic, Continental and Mediterranean.
– Rainfall: aprox. 400 mm.
– Several microclimates.
– Different wine styles according to geography.

All wines from Bodegas y Viñedos Pujanza are from single state vineyards. ” In Bodegas Pujanza, the quality of the vineyard, the type of soil, the kind of weather and the way to work it, are real important factors in the wine making process. Without quality grapes we will never be able to make quality wines therefore we pay attention to every detail“.
