Deep red-ruby hue, fruity nose, it drinks beautifully now.

Food Match: Barbera d'Asti is perfect with salami, red meat and can go from Pizza all the way to a thick rare Sirloin.

Garetto’s entry level number now with a real powerful kick. The harvest is in the last days of September. A very pleasant wine, fresh and harmonious. Will improve in upcoming years featuring full-bodied and ethereal aromas. Vines all mature so even the un-oaked Tra Neuit e Dì has a smoky intensity.

From the producer’s website: “Our vineyard age varies from 60-70 years to 2 years old (new plantings). The area under vine is 80% Barbera vine variety, 20% Dolcetto, Grignolino and Chardonney vine varieties.

Vineyard density is about 4500 vines per hectare, espalier arranged according to Piedmontese vine traditional system, Guyot pruning. Great care is taken over vineyard cultivation in order to get Tenuta Garetto’s valuable wines, such as “Favà” and “In Pectore”. It takes much time in vineyards, in order to have good phytosanitary conditions and to reduce the production for grape proper concentration.

Nowadays, Tenuta Garetto farm is present on the global market with its 100.000 bottles and Alessandro Garetto’s goal is TO IMPROVE MORE AND MORE.
