Bodegas y Viñedos Pujanza is a medium sizes winery in the district of Laguardia that was set up in 1998 by Carlos San Pedro, third generation of a wine-making family, and a real master in combining the legacy of his predecessors with modern oenology.   The winery follows strict guidelines to ensure the high quality of their products, choosing specific vineyards for each type of wine and striving to maintain a limited production.  Bodegas y Viñedos Pujanza is located in the heart of D.O.Ca. Rioja Alavesa, one of the most beautiful locations in Spain, rich with cultural and historic heritage.

In Bodegas Pujanza, the quality of the vineyard, the type of soil, the kind of weather and the way to work it, are real important factors in the wine making process. Without quality grapes we will never be able to make quality wines therefore we pay attention to every detail.Carlos San Pedro

 Pujanza Añadas Frias

The Pujanza Añadas Frías is an outstanding white wine, winner of the Stephen Tanzer International Wine Cellar Award. The Añadas Frías vineyard consists of 3.3 Acres of clay-limestone soil at an altitude of 600 m (2.000 ft).  Añadas Frías is a special Rioja Blanco Crianza wine that will only be made in cold vintages, when acidity and pH conditions are just right to support a long life in the bottle.

The Añadas Frías Rioja Blanco has an intense straw-colour.  On the nose it is fresh, elegant and rich with nuances: fruity aroma base with balsamic and ripe fruit notes, blending with creamy and elegant smoked hints. On the palate this full-bodied wine is well-structured with good acidity and powerful flavours, unctuous and fresh.

The Añadas Frías Rioja 2010 was awarded 93 Points in International Wine Cellar – Stephen Tanzer.

Pujanza vineyard Pujanza Cisma 2009

The Pujanza Cisma vineyard, La Valcabada, consists of 1.4 Acres of clay-limestone land with an altitude of 600 m (2.000 ft).

The Cisma has an intense cherry red colour with purple hues. On the nose it is both complex and intense revealing a ripe red and black fruit base with spicy notes, toasted hues, minerals and a balsamic touch. On the palate the Pujanza Cisma 2009 is full-bodied, fleshy, with plenty of fruit. It is a powerful and elegant wine of great ageing capacity.

Consider these wines “Rioja royalty”… a truly unique find!
